The eDelphi Method

The Delphi Technique is a globally regarded experimental method that brings experts together to address the most challenging questions of the day.

It utilises successive, anonymised questionnaires to achieve consensus on pre-specified topics. This has proven especially useful for generating insights about sensitive or under-researched areas at pace. The Electronic Delphi, or eDelphi, method hosts these investigations online - widening the pool for recruitment as geographical, time and financial limitations are reduced or removed altogether.

In medicine, the eDelphi method is most commonly used to develop or update clinical guidelines, assess new technologies, set research priorities, develop educational curricula and design new policies or quality improvement initiatives.
